15th Reunion is over - Let's get ready for 20!

The following is the letter I handed out at the reunion. Please read and get back to me if you can help! I'll include the list in the very near future!

Dear Class of 1995,

It’s hard to believe it’s been 15 years since we were last assembled together in one place! Thanks to Quanna (Speake) Hafer, we have been fortunate to be able to get together for our 10th and 15th reunions. However, our numbers have been far from what they were when we were in high school!

In an effort to help Quanna out, I would like to ask each of you to take a little time out of your day between now and the next reunion (in 5 years! I know it seems like a long time, but time flies!) and help us locate our missing classmates! I will outline below some various efforts I am undertaking, with your help of course.

Blog

I have started a blog at the address below.

http://wphs1995alumni.blogspot.com/

I would like to keep the blog updated with whatever you feel you would like to share with your classmates. Ideally, I would like for each of you to contribute a short summary of your accomplishments since high school. Please include significant others and children’s names. Also, it wouldn’t feel complete without an updated picture of you and your family! If you aren’t married (um, like me) include a picture of you with your cats! Whatever your story, I’m sure others would like to read it. It will then be included somehow at our 20th reunion.

Missing Classmates

Attached to this letter is a list of classmates. If we have been unable to contact a classmate, their name will be shaded gray. We might even be missing some names. If you know of anyone’s whereabouts, please feel free to let me know via snail mail, phone or email!

Slideshow

Quanna asked me to put a slideshow together. It was a gallant effort on my part, but there is still missing pictures! I will continue to work on the slide show sometime between now and the next five years to add newspaper articles, Zizzerette pictures and more yearbook photos. I would love for each of you to send me your own pictures from school. Please include elementary and middle school pictures. I would especially love to have some of you rural school peeps involved since I was a WPMS gal!

In addition to viewing the slideshow at the reunion, you can buy a copy of it for $10. I hope it doesn’t sound like too much money, but it has taken a lot of time. Also, if you buy the Version 1.5 now, you will get a copy of Version 2.0 for nothing . Just let me know if you want a copy and I will get it to you!

I guess that’s about all I have to write about for now! Just remember, keep in touch!

Thanks,

Carrie Brixey

Welcome to the blog!

Hello Zizzer Class of 1995! Welcome to our blog!

As the moderator, I'm hoping to keep you all updated of comings and goings of our class. Of course, in order to do that, I need your help!

First off, I would like to ask each of you for a summary of your accomplishments since you left high school. Please include pictures of your family (even if your family consists of your kitties, like mine does!). If you would like to keep that information NOT on the internet, just let me know. I will collect it and keep it safe to share at our next reunion.

I will keep a list of people who are missing somewhere on this blog so we all know who we are still looking for!

I am also hoping to collect pictures for our slide show. Please send ANY pictures you have of yourself and your classmates my way via email or snail mail!

I am selling copies of the slideshow for $10 each. If you received a copy of the WPHS Slideshow Version 1.5, you will receive Version 2.0 for free when it is updated. It will be shown at all the reunions. The cost is only to cover my time and materials. If you do not agree to that cost, perhaps we can work out a deal. Just let me know!

Also, if you have suggestions of SONGS that you would like to hear on the slide show for Version 2.0, let me know. Please keep these suggestions limited to songs reminiscent of your time at WPHS.

Anyway, welcome to our blog!
